We are working in technical partnership with UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office (EAPRO), and WaterAid to accelerate support for menstrual health across East Asia and Pacific

By working together we aim to:

  • Facilitate shared learning across the region.
  • Provide expertise to support the establishment of cohesive and regionally-grounded best practice guidance.
  • Support national governments and non-governmental organisations to deliver quality, integrated and sustainable menstrual health services
  • Build a stronger evidence base to understand menstrual health and effective interventions for the East Asia and Pacific Region, including the collaborative development of new intervention approaches.
  • Share research resources and support strengthened monitoring and evaluation.

Regional Progress Review

Our regional review synthesised the progress towards supporting menstrual health in the East Asia and Pacific region across the breadth of menstrual health needs from 2016 to 2022. It assessed progress across the enabling environment from policy through to implementation and monitoring.

The review documented advances in menstrual health policies and programs as well as gap and challenges. Available evidence for menstrual health interventions was synthesised in a systematic review.

The findings from our Regional Review are captured through a Regional Report, 17 individual country reports and a systematic review. All publications and resources are available below.
